Parcel to China Stuck at Heathrow

Post by liu325 »

Hello.

I posted a parcel, using International Tracked And Signed. The parcel is just a pair of sneakers.
And here is what I get:

Date Time Status Track point
15/03/16 03:06 ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
14/03/16 20:52 ON ITS WAY TOHEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC LEEDS MAIL CENTRE
14/03/16 20:31 ITEM COLLECTED LEEDS MAIL CENTRE
14/03/16 16:51 SENT AT POST OFFICE 10 Manville Terr BD7 1BA

The counter clerk said the parcel would be delivered to China a week later. But after reading all those topics, I am worried now.
I don‘t know what to do.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't anything that you can do to influence this.

This is a delivery aim, not a guarantee: larger Post Offices sell two other services that have guaranteed delivery times.

It is possible that you have issues with the contents. Do the sneakers have anything battery powered in them, i.e. lights? These are getting quite common but cause problems when sent in the post. Or was there anything else in the package? An aerosol can of any kind would also cause a problem.

Thanks for your reply.
It was not me who posted this parcel. And I don't suppose my friend would put anything else in it.
At this time, I have no choice but wait for another couple of weeks.
If there is still no further information, I'll try and see whether I can get a refund.

For international items this site http://www.17track.net/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is very good - it sometimes gets results when RMs doesn't.

I tried many times on http://www.17track.net/en/.
But all I got was "Your item, posted on 14/03/16 with reference RU81000****GB has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas."
I also called China Post. They said the parcel hadn't been posted yet.
Is there any chance that the parcel has already gone missing?

There is a chance that it has gone missing, but then that is always a possibility, whatever you send and by whoever you send it by - it is the nature of the beast.

However, the most likely scenario is that it is either sitting in Chinese Customs, or there may be a backlog of items now easter is fast approaching. Customs can be slow so there is probably no need to worry.
