International Tracking to AU on its way for some days now

I have an international tracking post, according to Royal Mail this is the fastest international post option available.

As per guide it takes 5-7days to get a parcel to Australia.
Parcel is just a lightweight parcel containing a couple of forms. On the tracker there's been no progress in 5days, it only takes 23-30hrs to fly to Australia so what has happened to the parcel?

The tracker is in the doldrums. It's the 1st now and 5days and no progress. 48hrs could be possible but reaching a week for air freight doesn't make sense and it's getting urgent now!

It's just a larger than A4 enclosed envelope with some paper forms, there's nothing special in it and it's very light for it's size so there's nothing really for customs to check. Don't Australians have state of the art technology, especially that it's gone to Sydney Airport or are they still checking everything by eyes, ears and hand?

Australian customs check everything. I have talked to customers who have had banknotes confiscated from envelopes which just contained cash and a letter.

And I do appreciate people like yourself and SpacePhoenix at least giving a thought and replying. It's just frustrating that a basic paper package is taking so long. I can understand customs holding back certain items and monies sent but this is of no value and no other content other than basic paper which has an estimated delivery time of 5-7days and it's just been sitting (I'm guessing Sydney, Australia) for almost the entirety of that time and who knows how much more. People pay good money for international mail and expect delivery and yet places such as these customs hold on to standard mail as though it was something curious or dangerous. Common Australia, get your bloody act together!

have you tried Auspost tracking http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/track.html#/track" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or even one of the international ones. http://www.17track.net/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; although it would be a long shot.

Also try both RM and Auspost on twitter @auspost @RoyalMail again long shots but they are at least official channels.

Thanks for the links. Yeah unfortunately nothing came up except that I made a call the other day to enquire about the parcel.

Package finally arrived the other day it twice as long as the suggested 5-7days and the main reason for the delay appears to be because it sat for over a week to get through at Sydney. ??? . Nothing to declare with customs, this was a light weight DOX and fairly urgent, have to send another parcel again, this time I'm going to try DHL Express and fork out more $$$
