ON ITS WAY TOILC MAIL CENTRE

Hi. Could anybody tell me whats going on with my parcel please -RC315765581HK . Its left HK on 22 jan 16 and after 13 days in transit (probably stuck in customs) finally arrived to HWDC today which is good news. My question is why is it on its way to ILC instead to leeds mail centre as usually my parcels do? Is it going to customs again? Thanks for help

ILC is some kind of overflow site for customs. So it probably hasn't been through customs yet, it's just being moved to help with their workflow.

Hi I have the exact same problem my parcel is showing up as been sent to the ilc mail center , that was the 21st of Jan and still no change (rb005820504pk), but looking at a few forums of post that has been delayed I still have hope that it comes soon , I hope your parcel does not stay there as long as mine, its very frustrating!

Did you ask royal mail about your parcel? If yes what did they say? Why is it takes so long? They have to know where it is if is showing in their system i think.

It's in customs. That is a government department, not anything to do with Royal Mail, and customs are often taking several weeks to process items. This has been a problem for about 6 months.

There is no real average, may take a day or two or up to 4 to 6 weeks, it's are not processed in order they are received so it's not a simple queue so can't really say everything taking about 3 weeks etc

This forum is for Royal Mail & Post Office employees, I have never seen a customs officer post on here. If they did they would probably breech the Official Secrets Act and risk losing their job.

3 weeks at customs is not that unusual at the moment. And items like yours, which have been sent to the wrong country, often suffer a delay because of that too.

My package updated today hwdc arrived in the UK, but it's in the UK since the 21st of Jan,its destination is Ireland , does this mean it's getting rerouted from UK finally.........!!!!!!!! ??????????
