Is my package being sent back to the sender ? :S

Post by Monksey91 »

Hi,

I ordered a rare bespoke wooden box from america and the sender used USPS to ship it across to the UK. I have been tracking my order since the 23rd November and it eventually arrived at Heathrow airport on the 29th November, however since then I have heard absolutely nothing, the USPS tracking states that it has departed from Heathrow, but after contacting customs and royal mail today (16/12/2015) they have not received the package. The royal mail representative I spoke to on the phone told me that it may be being sent back to the sender and that there is nothing I can do about it. My USPS tracking code is: LZ655333769US
and I have no idea what to do or what's actually going on, any help would be much appreciated.

there are big delays (up to 4-6 weeks) processing mail at customs at heathrow, so your package is probably still being held there.

I think like other customers who have been asking yours is also caught in the Christmas backlog. I've checked 3 tracking sites:

RM: no record
USPS. Arriving at the USPS sort facility at Heathrow. They then will have passed it to customs.
International Site: Also no trace.

From that I would say its definitely stuck in customs, the good thing is when the release it delivery will be within a matter of 1 - 2 days based on past experience.
