I am a DMO customer, and as im sure alot of you are aware that means I get my mail picked up at the end of the day.
Anyways today ive been trying to sort Christmas out, obviously have my collection ready for 11am, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, but as we open half days on 29th and the 30th, we need our mail picked up early those days, ideally between 13:30 and 14:00.
The online form for booking Christmas collections is fine, for days, but not change of times. I have spoken to the Collections team, and they said to call back next week, to see if they can rearrange something, which is inexact, so I am looking for other options.
My first option being the Spalding Delivery Office just down the road, but that does not open till 15:30, so too late.
Is cancelling the collection, and dropping them off at a post office an ok thing to do, provided we cant rearrange the times.
I am surprised there are not more firms who want to change both times and days of collections, so that the form would allow for this.

Re: Collections at odd times over Christmas
I think you'd do better trying to get a response through the official RM channels. The problem could be because it would be an issue in our office simply because our first collections of a usual day start work at 3pm. There may be some way around it, with a relief collection or some such. Can you not speak to whoever supervises your usual collections? Your regular person should be able to give you contact info.

Re: Collections at odd times over Christmas
Over the christmas period RM only want to know if you want a collection or not.
You can always take it to a post office if you would like to, if i was you i wouldn't cancel the collection just incase you are running later than anticipated. You never know if you call them back they may be able to help, however they may not and this is key. They will put in a request to your collections hub for an earlier collection but there is no guarantee the collections hub will be able to accomodate you.
