Hi All, I wondered if anyone would be so kind to help. I have contacted Royal Mail but have received no response. I purchased an item online from CEX and was advised that this was sent by Special Delivery on Friday 6th November. Nobody seems to know where this is and the Tracking Number: AE961327068GB won't provide any tracking details as per below:

Special Delivery Guaranteed™ items are first tracked when they have reached our mail centre. This may be late in the evening on the day the item was sent.
Information on your Special Delivery Guaranteed™ item is not yet available.
Any help or advice would be most appreciated

You need to go back to CEX.
They have either given you a wrong number, or the number is right but they haven't sent it yet.
Under the Distance Selling regulations its up to them to get it to you, if RM have cocked up then they'll claim from them.
However, I suspect that they have prepared if for dispatch but haven't yet handed it to RM.

I found this page via a seach engine because I was having the same problem with tracking information, and surprise surprise it's with the same retailer, CeX!
They've finally given me a tracking number after I ordered the item ages ago and chased it up, but I suspect from TrueBlueTerrier's response they haven't even handed it to Royal Mail yet!
Thanks for the info though. Hopefully it will arrive one day, but my advice to anyone is do not buy anything from CeX if you're looking for good service or a reasonable delivery time!

same issue, on their wesbite they said it had been dispatched, i got an email too, but i get the same message, not happy at all, i might just refuse it and get a refund when it actually decides to turn up, hate items coming late.

I have sent my passport to DVLA yesterday by special delivery Guaranteed. The last tracking inf is at 5.30am "on a delivery"... After that -" Information on your Special Delivery Guaranteed™ item is not yet available"...what does it mean???

The last bit is probably one of the many system outages that the track & trace website seems to have. If it's still saying that tomorrow, call the number on the proof of posting.
