Prohibited package procedure

Post by jaybmt »

Hi, I live in Malta and I ordered some iPhone replacement parts, including a new battery, to my mother-in-laws address to be forwarded onto me here. I naively didn't even think about any restrictions. I am now very aware that such items can be destroyed, I am just concerned about the other items in the package and what will happen to them. Will the package be returned to the return address or will it still be delivered to me? Also what will the time frame be as it has already been 7 working days. The parcel was sent standard and not signed or tracked (much to my annoyance). Your help and advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance Jay

I've had a long think about this one and trying to write a coherent and understandable reply. It's very difficult because of the huge number of different rules, a variety of scenarios, and as you aren't the sender it makes asking slightly pointless. The short answer is that it's possible you will get the items back, but it's unlikely you can will get everything, and it's quite likely that you will get nothing. Sorry.
