Hi everyone, can anyone please help.

I bought a laptop from ebay seller. He kept me in loop for few days providing me with myHermes tracking number saying it will be delivered in two days. After having chat with the company myself I discovered the parcel never entered their network even 3 days after dispatch. I knew then and there I got conned, so I opened up ebay case a week ago to reclaim my money. Yesterday was last day to proceed to customer support. This seller out of no where posts this Royal Mail Tracking number to the case Tuesday night. I looked at it on Royal Mail website, saw signature of my dear father.

So what happened is I paid for the item same day I won auction which was Friday morning, he sent a Royal Mail Special Delivery post containing a driving theory test dvd on it. Since I wasn't home on Saturday and the post came with no addressee name just our address details, my dad signed it opened up found out dvd and a small note I quote '' Dear Customer, please enjoy a small gift from your local kleenze rep''. It never crossed my mind that that post was from ebay seller until last Tuesday night when the seller posted Royal Mail Tracking number.

Long story short, I bought laptop on Friday, he snucked in dvd on Royal mail post on Saturday. Got played with myHermes tracking number for few days finally, I opened up case Wednesday, the deadline to escalate to customer support was following Wednesday. Seller posted Royal Mail Tracking number Tuesday night out of nowhere.

Now I need to prove to ebay that I received a dvd disc instead of laptop. To do that I need to show them the Royal Mail receipt.

My question is can I go to post office and ask for another receipt which shows the weight of the package? It's been two weeks now, I got the envelope and tracking label intact.

Please anyone...

Call the Police - keep the tracking number of Hermes and Royal Mail.

The special delivery envelope would also help as this will have the price the paid on it. £6 odd for a DVD, and probably about £11 minimum for a Laptop.

Thank you for you input admin, I had a chat with one of the post office employee she advised me the same.
