Update!: Yet another Jubliee MC Mis-sort on SD 1pm

Post by sandco »

Hi

On Friday I sent one of the Special Delivery silver poly envelopes with some time sensitive tickets inside the envelope. Paid for using On-line postage.

It appears somewhere along the line that the people working in Jubilee Mail Centre have, again, sent it back to the return address. My return address is served by Acton PDO.

This has happened twice before when I used the same silver poly envelopes (obv diff tracking numbers :-p) and each time I got a cheque refund of the postage.

1: Is it a problem with the poly envelopes that RM have provided me with? (Postage on the front with To Address. Return address and tracking sticker on rear.)
2: Does whoever processes the package at Jubilee mail centre just look at the very first address without checking?
3: What does CO in respect of Returned to CO mean?
4: When is this special likely to be delivered now?

Seems strange that the ones supplied by RM would have the postage and tracking on different sides? Could you post a pic of one (both sides) but with the address blanked out?

I have found an image of an old style one - is the PO getting rid of old stock ???

However for the customer I would suggest writing in bold next to both addresses From and TO as appropriate and see if that helps.

Yep that be the one.

Don't know how more obvious I can be, the labels were thermal printed (Dymo) and clearly had "Return Address" in bold and caps on the top of the return address.

Oh well, it will prob get their eventually.

When did po supply they ones? They are really really out of date and shouldn't be used,

My local Sub Post Office has a box of these still sitting next to the public counter. Prob didn't see the memo from years ago!!!

At least the lovely guys at Acton PDO can still tell the difference between a To and Return Address. Must admit having delt with these local guys they are a really nice bunch. They've helped me loads of time in the past.

I still got a few of these at home, I guess I shall turn them inside out and use them for eBay purposes and ask RM direct for some new ones.
