Just been talking to someone who, long story short, sent something recorded 6 weeks ago, has since discarded the tracking details, and now needs it.
I'm just wondering if
a) does horizon have a facility to search a history of tracked mail scanned in to it (possibly by postcode / house num, and rough time/date sent) to find a tracking num.
b) if asked nicely, would any PO actually give this info out to the person who sent it (proveable or otherwise).
c) how? ie. keyboard shortcuts - I'm guessing few people ever actually do this even if it is possible :)

Re: Can a PO / Horizon search a history of tracked mail sent
Simple answer no this information is not stored or searchable on computerpepsi_max2k wrote:a) does horizon have a facility to search a history of tracked mail scanned in to it (possibly by postcode / house num, and rough time/date sent) to find a tracking num.
if the item was sent by special delivery or air sure, then there is a paper copy of the barcodes handed over to royalmail each day, no other information though just the barcode, and the post office are not required to search for that, but if its a fairly small or quietish post office, and you can tell them the date and rough time you sent the item they might do you a favour and check their records for the barcode numberpepsi_max2k wrote:b) if asked nicely, would any PO actually give this info out to the person who sent it (proveable or otherwise).
