If it was sent via a tracked service, such as Signed For or Special Delivery, then you can track your item here: http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Just enter your tracking number and see if it confirms its delivery.
If it was sent via a non tracked service, then there is nothing you can do except submit a claim. A claim can be submitted after 15 working days have passed since the item was posted.
If it was sent to a UK address, then you would need to fill out the Inland P58, located here: http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/ ... 2%20_0.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Or you can pick one up at the post office.
International items can be claimed using a International P58, located here: http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/ ... _%20v2.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Once again you can pick these up from the post office. You need to wait 20 working days for Europe, and 25 working days for the rest of the world, before you can submit a claim. With international items you can not claim the value of the postage pack, as no consequential loss is offered. You can purely claim the value of the items.

also the item may be held at the local delivery office for 18 days before being sent back, if there is a return address on the item it will go back there, if not it will be sent to the national returns centre where they will attempt to locate the sender by opening the item to see if there is any returns information inside
