Royal Mail Opinion Forum

Post by cassie75 »

There used to be a customer Royal Mail Opinion Forum at the following link

http://business.royalmailopinionforum.com/home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It had some interesting topics in it.

Does anyone know what happened to it?
Has this forum taken its place?
Is there a way to get here from the main RM site?

I only found it today because I did a google search for Royal Mail strikes peterborough july and this forum came up :shock:

While your opinion is always welcome and we will try to help in any way we can....

We are strictly unofficial.
We have no affiliation with either Royal Mail or the Communications Workers Union (CWU), except that most of our members work for Royal Mail and/or are members of the CWU.

The domain is owned by the Royal Mail Group http://whois.domaintools.com/royalmailopinionforum.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so you'd need to ask them where it has gone.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

I am sure you will agree - trying to get any information out of Royal Mail officially is impossible. I was hoping that someone here would know, or is everyone here just irate customers and not connected with, or works for, RM at all?

You could try the official Royal Mail twitter

https://mobile.twitter.com/RoyalMail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If anyone is able to get access to the info you require i reckon it would be them.
Best of luck.

No most of us on RMC, me included are just the PBI, Posties on Deliveries, Posties working in Mail Centres, Counter Clerks in Post Offices and a few front line managers. There is no OFFICIAL representation of Royal Mail, and although I suspect they do visit, they don't interact or pass comment. Also to be honest the people you would be looking for wouldn't like to be associated with this site.

To be clear RoyalMailChat is an unofficial forum which has no official or unofficial recognition or support from Royal Mail at all. It was set up initially as a site where posties could exchange views and offer support. We then added a customer forum because of the number of posts we were getting asking for advice. We can't answer any question in any official capacity, but we can offer advice, guidance and insights that hopefully will help in some small way.

So in answer no we are not a replacement for that forum, and no you can't link from the Royal mail site to here.

The Royal Mail Opinion Forum is changing. Instead of offering a portal for members to discuss views with each other, the RMOF team will now focus on contacting you directly to take part in surveys via email.

The Royal Mail Opinion Forum website will close on February 28th2013 [edited to remove url, as it no longer works.]

You may have noticed we have not contacted you to take part in many surveys in recent months. As we do value the feedback you send us, our intention is to start contacting you more regularly to get your feedback to help us improve.

The team at Royal Mail would like to thank you for your feedback over the past 3 years, in which time members have raised £5,682 for Barnardo’s.

We look forward to receiving your feedback in the near future.

Regards,

The Royal Mail Opinon Forum team.
Found the above in an email from them.

Thank you for that. I never received that email, probably many others didn't. Just goes to show how much they DO actually want our views - not !!

By the way - our posties (both collection and delivery) are brilliant :dance

Maybe it's been replaced by the 'Royal Mail Survey Panel'.

It's how we test our quality.
Not really the same thing.

No, there's also one run by Royal Mail itself, not by Research International.

I get emails with "We are delighted to invite you to the latest survey on the Royal Mail Survey Panel." and then waffle on for another sentence or two before giving the link to the 5 minute survey.
Last one was on the printed (horizon?) label .... intended for single use..... maybe there have been occasions when they've been reused...
