question about receiving mail

Post by silver_fox »

Hi,

I am a postie with a question.

I own a property which is let-out but I still receive occasional post to my name.

Is there a way I can have mail to my name held, and I can pick it up from the DO?

The DO where I live is only a few miles from the DO where I work.

Is there an official service offered by RM to do this, such as keepsafe or mailcollect? Or should I approach the manager informally at the relevant DO?

If I knew who the postie was I'd just ask them, but these days you never know who's going to be delivering!

Thanks

put a redirection in

If it your house you will have documentation with your name on it yes?

It probably won't be the same as is on your payslip but if you can prove you own it shouldn't be a problem

and it's free if you are a postie

You can set up a mail collect for just your name. You could use your free redirection but it only lasts two years.

Thanks, I will try and set up mail collect! I am close to the office so collecting isn't a problem I can do this once a week.
