Heavy snow has affected services in many parts of the South West, South Wales, Mid Wales, the Midlands, parts of Northern of England and Anglia; especially in the more rural areas and over higher ground.
There is likely to be some impact on deliveries and collections today in a number of postcode areas. The snow is expected to move east through the morning.
Particularly affected this morning are many parts of South and Mid Wales, including almost all parts of the CF & NP postcode areas and many parts of the SA area.
We will be out attempting deliveries and collections in as many areas as possible, but only where it’s safe and access is possible. We’d like to apologise to all customers whose mail services are currently being disrupted by the adverse weather conditions.
We will update the service update pages regularly throughout the day as the weather moves across the country.
If you use social media you can also find us on Twitter.

RMCS Snow updates
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: RMCS Snow updates
Dear Customer,
Thank you for signing up for our email updates.
Collection and Delivery services are performing better across much of the UK today although forecasts of further wintry weather may impact services throughout the day. The changing weather conditions continue to affect a small number of customers – and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused as result of these conditions.
In Scotland, we are attempting deliveries and collections across all areas, although some risk remains to more rural addresses.
Continued wintry conditions in the North of England are affecting services around Derwentside, Durham, Wear Valley and Richmond.
Some customers in the Midlands, Sheffield and North Bradfield may continue to experience a slight delay to some mail, although we are able to access more addresses today than earlier in the week. We will continue to deliver to as many customers here, and across all areas, as we can safely travel and gain access to.
Further South, a very small number of customers in Epsom and Bromley may experience reduced delivery services today due to ongoing hazardous conditions. The South of Bristol is also presenting some delivery access issues, although these are limited and we are attempting to get mail to as many customers as we can safely do so.
Access to a small number of customers remains difficult, including those located in the following areas: Tadworth, Haselmere, Thornbury, Yate, Winscombe Weston Super Mare and Kingswood. There is also some risk to more rural areas of Bridgwater, Taunton, Tiverton, Minehead and Ilfracombe, parts of Cheltenham, Cirencester, North Gloucester and Waterlooville in the South. Customers in Cornwall can expect full services.
Conditions and therefore mail services across most of South and Mid Wales are now much improved, with the exception of a limited number of addresses in more rural parts in and around Cardiff, Ammanford, Gorseinon, Kidwelly, Llandeilo, Llanelli and Mumbles. We may also experience access difficulties in and around Shrewsbury as conditions are forecast to worsen today.
For more information on the above and to check services in other parts of the country, please visit our service update pages, which are updated regularly as the weather conditions and effect on service changes. You can also find us on Twitter.
We are launching our new look website over the weekend, which means we will be closing the current one down on Saturday 26 January at 9.00am and we aim to be back up and running early Sunday morning.
We apologise to all customers whose mail services are currently being disrupted as a result of the recent weather conditions.
Regards,
Royal Mail Customer Services
