Sunday Collections

Post by Terryk »

At this hour of the morning perhaps I should have better things to worry about...but....

We post close on 2000 items in the RG postcode area on a Sunday for addresses across most of the South and South West. We get a very good service to the TR and PL areas with a lot of the items arriving on Monday mornings.. however it seems to regularly miss the deliveries in much of the OX and MK areas.

In that the collections are shortly to cease this is largely of historic interest but any ideas why this might be. I assume the mail from Reading is moved by van to regional centres and they don't send a van all the way from Reading to Plymouth or Penzance. It just seems odd we can get letters almost to Lands End next day but not to Oxford which is much closer.

Sorry most ordinary posties would like to improve your service but I have to tell you that Allan Leighton our head, only views the banks , insurance companies , and utillity companies as RM,s customers , it,s a question of volume , profit and margin now. Oh by the way you might like to know you are subsidising these bulk mailers ,they pay over 30% less for postage than you

Welcome to the brave new world of the 'efficient' Royal Mail as envisaged by two parasites on lottery win salaries and working one day a week to get it. Unfortunately my friend you, and thousands like you no longer matter. After all, you're only a vital cog in the economy, so what do you matter?

So much for leighton wanting to listen to us when he first took over RM someone give leighton and crozier a new hearing aid that might make them hear our voice a little bit louder :lfo :cfo
