Goods sent from UK to DK not processing through network?

Post by sylosis »

Hello guys,

I ordered some goods from the UK with destination address in Denmark, and it seems like the parcel is not moving anywhere  I tried using the search function, but I didn't find any good hits regarding this "situation".. I thought maybe some of you could give me a hint, or maybe anyone else has tried this? From the tracking number, I receive this message:

Your item, posted on 06/06/12 with reference XXXXXXXXXXX has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas.

Tracking details from royalmail.com/trackdetails are as following:

07/06/12 17:07 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC SIGNED FOR ROAD 2 HOME COUNTIES NORTH MC
07/06/12 15:59 COLLECTED HOME COUNTIES NORTH MC
06/06/12 18:07 ACCEPTED AT POL 44 The Queens Sq HP2 4EP

So the parcel hasn't moved since 7th of June from what I can see, and it seems like it is stuck on a truck somewhere.. Is there any possibilites that the parcel may have been lost, forgotten, etc.? I would be glad if any of you guys had experienced the same, or if anyone knows if this is normal? I've ordered several things from the same shop, but never waited so long without any form of activity.. Is there a chance that it may be at customs? I also tried searching for the tracking number at the danish postal site which always works, but it hasn't been scanned in Denmark yet.. I also understand that there have been holidays in UK lasting from the 5th to 6th, maybe others have experienced delays similiar to this?

Any chance I might be seeing this parcel? Sorry if I might be impatient, but this kind of "delay" seems alarming to me compared to all the other tracking numbers that I can compare to  ..

Thanks so much in advance!

what posting method was used? as if the sender has chosen a cheaper option it may not be a tracked service and as such you might not get anymore tracking info than you already have

Based on this line of that track and trace
07/06/12 17:07 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC SIGNED FOR ROAD 2 HOME COUNTIES NORTH MC
It's probably an Internation Signed For (ISF) so it might get treated by Denmark's equivalent of RM as a normal recorded item. I don't know if Demark would scan ISF items as having entered Denmark. It's possible that the item is stuck in customs, all international items seem to take longer now both going out of and entering the UK.

zx135:

The posting method was International Signed For.. The tracking details for this parcel is 30% of what I normally can track parcels for.. Besides from being "stuck" on what looks like a delivery truck, then it doesn't show up on the Danish postal site either, as I normally can trace the parcels upon entering my country (when the parcels from UK leave UK, they are traceable at the danish site about 12 hours later), so it's definitely lacking info..

SpacePhoenix:

Correct, it's an ISF, and thanks for pointing it out :angel .. All ISF parcels gets scanned upon entering Denmark, so it's a bit frustrating.. Anyone knows if the Danish Customs have an area in the UK, for checking parcels? I'm not worried about customs, but shouldn't they be checked upon arrival in Denmark, and not at a location in UK? Any employees from ParcelForce or RoyalMail that knows about this?

I ordered some goods from another shop last month, and to show what I mean about lacking details:

23/05/12 11:09 DELIVERED DENMARK
21/05/12 10:32 UNDELIVEREDNOT AT ADDRESS, OFFICE CLOSED DENMARK
19/05/12 10:26 RECEIVED AT OECOPENHAGEN DENMARK COPENHAGEN DENMARK
19/05/12 AM DESPATCHED TOCOPENHAGEN DENMARK DENMARK
19/05/12 AM DESPATCHED TOCOPENHAGEN DENMARK DENMARK
19/05/12 00:42 RECEIVED ATHEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
18/05/12 16:46 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC SIGNED FOR ROAD 2 HOME COUNTIES NORTH MC
18/05/12 15:52 COLLECTED HOME COUNTIES NORTH MC
18/05/12 13:28 ACCEPTED AT POL 3-4 Bellgate HP2 5SB

I marked the spot in bold, where my current parcel is "stuck" at.. So, definitely lacking alot of details :( I'm so worried about losing this parcel :cry From what I can see, then my current parcel should be at the "Heathrow Worldwide DC" or at least have gotten despatched.... but.... :(

And thanks so much for your feedback, it means so much, really thanks alot guys!!
Best regards
