Missing Address

Post by Ondrejne »

Hi!

I need your help!

Received a letter from Budapest1005(HUNGARY) to GBLALA(UNITED KINGDOM) at 23. 04 . 2012.
In the letter there is my Passport and other important documents.
My friend was wrote the address correct, but he missed the house number. :nervous
How can i complement the missed house number? I really need that letter.
I have the letter's identification number.

Your Sincerely

The letter will be sorted to the correct walk and if the postman has enough experience he will recognise the name and know the house number! :Very Happy

How about "please" manners make a lot of difference to the outcome of things like this.

Maybe, but she's put "Your Sincerely" and you don't see that often on here. :Very Happy
And maybe Ondrejne doesn't know the English for "adjon meg"

True, but I was taught to say please and thank you and tend not to go to far out of my way for someone who doesn't use them,it doesn't cost much does it?

The Hungarian I know, who got out in 1956, is most polite and I would be surprised if Ondrejne is any different, most likely just a lack of familiarity with our language.

I can say please and thank you in French and German, the 2 countries I have been to,not counting Northern Ireland which speaks the mother tongue.
