HELP ME PLEASE!

Post by Bad_kitty »

Hi

Newbie here, so please be gentle.

Recently, a limited edition signed CD I had ordered online went missing. I went down to my local delivery office to see if they could shed any light on the matter. The counter assistant person (sorry, don't know the jargon) had a look for me and said they couldn't see it anywhere. He also took my phone number and said he'd give me a ring once he'd spoken to the postie (he hasn't.)

Two weeks later, and my Mum's just called me to say that a letter she posted to me was returned to her by Royal Mail. I think the letter was marked undeliverable or unavailable?

I think the problem lies with the fact that I live in a block of 4 with an intercom. If the postie comes before 8.45am, then I can let him in (my flat is the top buzzer on the intercom.) But if he comes later (and he seems to come later these days) I can't let him in because I'm at work.

I don't think I've received any mail in the last 2 weeks. My main concern is the fact that post has been returned to sender - does this mean all my post has been returned to sender? Does my address get 'blacklisted' if the postie can't get access during his/her round?

Sorry for rambling but I'm really stressed about this!

If we can't gain access to a delivery point then the mail will be returned after 3 days, so it's likely that your cd has been sent back.

As far as I know your address won't be blacklisted just because we can't get in but you really should get a letter from the manager explaining the situation as to why you're not getting your deliveries.

Thanks DGP1,

I think a wee trip to the delivery office tomorrow might be in order.

You could try contacting the sender to see if they've received the item back.

Is there communal letterboxes/a trade button/keys that the postman has? if not, if noone answers then itll usually just be endorsed as no access and reattempted. but there will be an attempt everyday.. or.. should be
