Newbie intro`

Post by cresser »

confused Hi all, I`m an ex-postie, who used to love the job, except all those blasted bingo cards and the piles of rebate - ruined the job for me, hated the stuff.
Anyway, as it`s a good number of years since I left, I wonder if any one can help me here. I need to send a formal letter of complaint to a business, and I`ve been advised to send it by Recorded Delivery - fine, except all I`ve got is a Box number to send to, can I send to a Box No, and who will sign for it? Any help appreciated, cheers, Cresser.

It 'should' be signed for but depends on the postie.
A box number is still an address, could be a home one or to a firm.
To guarantee a signature you could use special delivery but that is a lot more expensive.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Be careful when sending to a box.
Some businesses just use them to keep complaints away from their doorstep.
You might find your recorded coming back if the box isn't collected regularly.
