I have a parcel that was handed over to Royal Mail in Gourock on 7th of December. No update on track and trace for over a week until it turns up scanned in at North West Distribution Centre this morning.
Is this a normal journey for a parcel to take or has there been a **** up.
I don't fancy my chances of getting it by Christmas if the weather over next few weeks is as predicted and then it has to go through nightmare that is the sorting office in Dundee.

Hiya, I also have a few amazon items of which some are being tracked.
You should continue to monitor the tracking as it will be scanned when it arrives in the dundee office.
If you take some id down to the delivery office once you know that it's there then they may be able to help
you but please be patient as the office will be like a disaster zone with so many items of mail that we get
at this time of year. If you are dundee east or dundee central then you may be ok as it is the west office
that the brains up high decided to put in a revision at this time of year and its the office that is struggling.
Good luck

Not normal, but mail posted in Scotland is being diverted to other Mail Centres around the UK
for processing due to the backlog in Scotland caused by the weather.
My Mail Centre in London received two articulated (big) lorry loads of mail fom Edinburgh last night.
But yes there are problems in Dundee Deliveries too so it could be delayed when it gets back there.

Re: Gourock - Warrington - Dundee??
Ive been waiting for an amazon parcel containing six people's xmas presents since beginning of this month and my order status has said location Gourock for a fortnight .. I dont believe for a minute Ill get it before Christmas.
Im in Aberdeen Scotland and Im waiting on loads of stuff I ordered on the internet since November its ridiculous.
Deliveries are a joke in Scotland at the moment .. TNT even managed to "lose" my dads ashes for 4 days and I was told they honestly didnt know where he was .. thankfully they found him eventually .. so much for Next Day delivery!!!!!

Re: Gourock - Warrington - Dundee??
I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I was notified, eventually, that a parcel had left Gourock on December 7th and was 'in transit.' Yesterday I learnt that it had gone to the North Western Distribution Centre in Warrington. I suppose the chances of it being sent across country to Lincoln are fairly slim now for it to be delivered before Christmas. This is the first time Amazon have let me down, but to give them their due, I received a very courteous email from them should the item not arrive before Christmas.
