Couple of questions regarding Redirection/PO Box

Post by rmp »

Hi, I have a few questions if anyone could answer them as I've trued customer services but only get automated responses.

My mailing address is at my mothers house which is about 6 miles outside the town centre. As I work in the town centre I usually stay at my girlfriends house on weekdays and go to my mums at weekends. The thing is sometimes I get letters which need a quick response and as I don't have a car can't really get to and fro that easily.

So anyone thats why. My questions:
1. Can I request mail from a residential address go to a PO Box on one application form or does it have to be done seperately?
2. Will the mail being redirected only be mine. For example I only want mail for Mr John Smith going to the PO Box, not for Mrs Smith or T Smith or anything like that.

Hope that 2nd question makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you set up a Mail Collect http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump ... d=48100695, its free. I'm assuming that your mum address and your girlfriends address share the same delivery office.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

When you set up a re-direction, they act on the information you supply. If you only want one person's mail from a household re-directed, make sure you say so. Be specific. We are not mind readers. we can only act on the information we receive.

You would ask for John Smith, and Mr J Smith, for example. All other names at that address should not be re-directed.

Unless your father is named James. In which case you should not ask for Mr J Smith as then you would get his mail. However any mail for you addressed to J smith would not get re-directed.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Wow THANK YOU, I had never heard of this service before.

I'm gonna give this a try.

Thanks again!
