I read an article the other day that RM has partnered with sainsburys to expand locker coverage and in the future these lockers will allow you to collect parcels from them too.
I am a vanlifer and the bane of my life is arranging to collect parcels. I currently use my mum's but it is about 2 hours away and I have to schedule a queue of things I want to buy for when I plan to visit then go on a shopping spree beforehand. Would so love to get an arrangement closer to me.
I know there there things like PO Box and post restante but I have not found them appealing. I love the idea of lockers.
Those inpost parcel lockers I thought may be the answer to my woes but they have been useless as I am yet to find an online shop I use which offer that.
Having RM lockers would be the creme de la creme to be able to receive to a locker in whatever town I might be nearest.
I am not getting my hopes up yet though as so many of these companies make promises and they fall through so no idea when it might come to fruition.
Any ideas from those 'in the know'? Will this offer the ubiquity of ordering parcels as much or close to having a static address in that you could just order to send any online shop which uses RM postage or will there still be restrictions?

Re: Any word on when lockers will be available to receive parcels?
I asked my AI to give an indepth search it produced this:
1. The "In the Know" Scoop & Timelines:
Sainsbury's Partnership: This is confirmed and actively rolling out. Six Sainsbury's stores already have Royal Mail parcel lockers for drop-off, and the expansion to more locations across the UK is planned to be rapid over the coming months (starting from April 2025 announcement).
Co-op Partnership: Announced in June 2025 (very recent!), Co-op will begin rolling out the first of 100 Royal Mail parcel lockers in Summer 2025. These will initially be for drop-off with collection services planned to be introduced "soon".
Collection Functionality: Both partnerships explicitly state that collection services will be available at these lockers "soon" or "in the near future." This is the crucial part for you. While drop-off is already happening, the ability to collect your online orders from these new RM lockers is what will truly solve your problem. "Soon" in corporate terms can be anything from weeks to a few months, but given the emphasis on meeting "surging demand for convenient parcel drop-off and collection points," it's highly likely to be a priority.
It does point out that the lockers will have dimension and weight limits, but that's a given anyway.
