SD 9am - how long does a fee refund take?

Post by somekindofnature »

I posted an item using SD 9am (paying a pretty hefty amount for it!), and it was delivered on the first attempt at 10:20am the next day.

The recipient was a business address and the SD 9am terms and conditions do say "where we know, from our previous experience, that a recipient is unlikely to be available to receive an item before 9am, then we may deliver the item by 9.30am". But even so, it was delivered after the guarantee.

I put in a refund claim the next day - this was a fortnight ago - but haven't heard anything back since.

I'd thought it was a fairly cut-and-dry case of the delivery being after the guarantee so a refund wouldn't take too much quibble. How long does a refund normally take in this sort of case?

(Sorry, I don't want to moan about the delay, I know everyone at RM works very hard - just wanted to know if this is normal)

I don't know about the refund side of things, but the last lorries are reaching delivery depot's so late in the morning now, that 9am specials are often impossible to achieve.
