Waiting on a Royal Mail Tracker 48 service

Post by pfc82 »

I’m waiting on a Royal Mail Tracked 48 packed that is doing the final mile delivery of an international order.

I’ve tracked it from the international sender on 2nd December, through various airports and finally in to the UK on the 8th, clearing customs on the 9th and passing into the Royal Mail network on the 10th and arriving at my local mail centre (Edinburgh MC) on the 11th December where it has just stopped.

It has said “Your item has reached Edinburgh Mail Centre and will now be sent to your local delivery office” since 11th December at 15:35.

I’ve clearly tracked it and that doesn’t provide any more information. I’ve called the Customer Service lines and got sent round in circles by the bot customer service account and now I’m stumped.

I know it’s the sender’s responsibility to chase and seek a refund, but really I just want the item because I can only get it from this supplier and it will be a pain in the arse to wait for the refund, reorder and wait on delivery again.

Is my item a lost cause or should I hold out and is there any other way short of turning up at the Mail Centre on Christmas Eve and seeing if someone can find it? (Which I’m guessing isn’t an option anyway)

Any suggestions appreciated!
