I know many people who are able to select to collect the item at the DO before it's taken out for delivery the day after through the app. This is apparently available once it gets scanned at the sender's MC.
I have never had the option to do that instead. In my app I am only able to change the delivery date to a later date at best, but I can't select to go and collect at the DO before the postie takes it out for delivery in the morning. Why is it that some are able to do that and some like me aren't? Is it related to the address?
One person who can do that lives in a rural town and I live in a small city instead.
Do you posties know why this happens? I thought you needed to wait for a redelivery attempt and to have the card to go and collect officially, but these people can basically collect at the DO before the postie can even attempt a first delivery. Thanks for any reply in advance.
