Tracked 24 delivery photo

Post by dannybpool »

Can any posties tell me what the requirements are for the delivery photo on a Tracked 24 service?

Is there a "Policy" and standards that the photo must have to meet the required standard or delivery?

Thanks

Hey Danny, if it's letterbox size then you lodge the item half-in half-out, take the photo and then push the item through.

If its parcel size then a photo of the customer holding the parcel, or if its left somewhere safe, then a photo of the parcel in that place to help the customer identity the place and retrieve later. A shed for example or an enclosed porch.

Background information also helps if there is a discrepancy later. :cuppa

Also, try not to take photos of any faces, so shoulders downwards and obviously none of children, (although they do sometimes want to help by holding the parcel for mummy/daddy).

That's about it really, it's very difficult to argue with the photo really, as it is was it is. :cuppa

I would never take a picture of a customer - not even shoulders down.
I put the parcel down in an open doorway and take the photo.
Why not phone up Robin Hood

Thank you for the responses.

The attached parcel was not received although shown as delivered.........

Contacted Royal Mail business centre who say the GPS log is at the correct location, and confirm the photo is non compliant being the door is closed, yet we cannot gain compensation???? "The post person will receive receive further coaching"

Later received an email after we make a complaint to say said postman was interviewed and confirmed parcel was "delivered to the property"

2 days later (luckily for us!) the parcel was found over the back fence of the property soaking wet and damaged, but useable.

Most we have found to be great and go above and beyond (our own local posties anyway) but what a poor way to be treated by Royal Mail.
