So I was due to receive 2 tracked 24 packets today. This question is better answered by posties I think.
We live in a block of flats and normally the postie gets in with the special button on the intercom so they don't have to buzz to be let in.
For some reason it's not working today we found out afterwards...
Postie buzzed us and gave us basically no time to reasonably answer so everything got scanned as "address unaccessible". That's how it happened and nothing I can do about it now.
My question is this one: will they get scanned at all when the postie takes them back to the delivery office? Also, it says the automatic redelivery is only for next working days and specifically excludes Sundays but I was wondering if they are not gonna be left available for collection until after the second delivery attempt that means the postie wouldn't be leaving them in the room with the items ready for collection, am I right? So, since they do deliver tracked 24 items on Sundays now like I've experienced already, would they go back on the frame you posties have for delivery tomorrow or how do they know these items have had a delivery attempt already then if they're not gonna stick them in the room where the stuff available for collection is? I hope I'm making sense. here. Thanks in advance. I appreciate you posties.

Re: Redelivery tracked 24
From my experience it is highly unlikely any delivery will be attempted on Sunday.
Delivery will be attempted again on Monday.

Re: Redelivery tracked 24
They actually didn't try any redelivery on Monday and I went to collect yesterday. My stuff was not with the items ready for collection but at the back and luckily the person at the counter was kind enough to go at the back and have a look and he found my post. Don't know why the automatic redelivery attempt didn't happen.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑27 Jan 2024, 13:48From my experience it is highly unlikely any delivery will be attempted on Sunday.

I'm in the same situation again today. I don't see the item scanned as available for redelivery or collection yet but I'm sure by now the postie isn't still out there since this morning and they must have brought my item back at the DO by now. I'm thinking of going there and see if I can collect.
I can't trust this automatic redelivery procedure it seems so I don't wanna wait tomorrow morning for an automatic redelivery and then again it doesn't happen.
