A good friend of mine is planning to post the attached aerogramme and expects it to be treated as a 2nd class letter.
I disagree, and told him that the printed 24p might not be valid because it's not barcoded. Then again, I do not claim to be an expert and I could be wrong.
What do you all think?

Note: Special Stamps with pictures on and Christmas Stamps without a barcode will continue to be valid and don't need to be swapped out.

Interesting! Does this mean that, when all was said and done, the only stamps 'demonetized' were the Machin series, either NVI or with a face value?

(although I had to look up what Machin series was, pardon my ignorance!).
