Hi, I've made a foolish mistake and entered the wrong street and postcode. The street is directly beside me and the only detail I got right was the house number. There was some confusion with my documents as I have just moved here.
Currently my package is with an international courier and is being dropped at the local Royal Mail Offices to then be delivered to the street across. I have tried contacting the international courier with no success and I contacted Royal Mail. I'm not sure if Royal Mails redirection service is the right port of call.
Thanks.

We are obliged to deliver items as addressed. Hopefully the person at the address it is going to will refuse the parcel inMorphy- wrote: ↑10 Oct 2023, 13:36Hi, I've made a foolish mistake and entered the wrong street and postcode. which case it should be returned to sender and you'll get refunded.
The international courier and Royal Mail can't just change the destination of a parcel once it's addressed
and on it's way unless:
1. There's a prior official redirection in place - but there isn't. The redirection service
won't help - they'd probably consider it's some sort of scam for one single parcel.
2. If it's a Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 product with an 'In Flight Instruction'
https://www.royalmail.com/receiving/cha ... ry-options but
as you've said it's coming internationally I don't think this option is available for you.
I think the refusal and return to sender is the most likely outcome.

Re: Wrong address and post code on parcel. Unsure on how to amend
It takes a few working days to get a redirection up and running. But you also need proof of address for the address you are redirecting from, and it would be an enormous coincidence if you had that…
