Charge raised 6 Apr, not in Royal Mail Care
Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I had an item sent to me from the US. It arrived in the U.K. on 22nd March, the day after I received an “item advised to Royal Mail” email. The last scan (shown on UPS system) was on 27th March, 5 weeks ago. I managed to speak to someone at Royal Mail who investigated and said that Customs raised a charge on 6th April (the day before Good Friday) but they had not yet received it from Border Force. They said they would have expected to have received it and I am aware from items I’ve bought from the US in the past that it usually only takes a day or so to get to Royal Mail once the charge has been raised. Does anyone have any advice? I was wondering if it is possible to contact Border Force but I cannot find any contact details. Just getting really worried as it’s 3.5 weeks since the charge was raised. My guess is that Border Force packed up for the Easter weekend, put it to the side and have forgotten about it.
