Just a few questions are signed for actually being signed for by the recipient or are you still using contactless delivery and if not why not and why is it still being sold at post offices?

As a rule we are not using contactless delivery any more. Signatures should be obtained at the address.
In a few isolated cases it may still be being used.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
