Does it get scanned when collecting from a post box if it’s seen or does the first scan only happen at the distribution centre ?

As far as I know, it gets scanned at the MC/DC, I would always suggest dropping it off at a post office as they scan it before it gets collected so there is a record of it entering the system.

The post box is scanned, not each item in the post box.

I wouldnt ever scan it nor any postie i know. The first scan will be at the Mail Centre.
