I posted a medium/large parcel on 04/02/2023.
Tracking number: SE138493413GB
I have brought this up in a previous post before getting some more light shed on the situation.
Since posting it, there have been no updates in the tracking. I have lost the proof of postage receipt so there's probably no hope there. I have been informed recently that the guy who scanned my parcel probably scanned it in as a normal parcel rather than a Special Delivery parcel which is separate from standard mail.
It normally goes from Durham Delivery Office, to Tyneside Mailing centre and onwards to the appropriate MC from there. This time it was due to go from Durham DO which is near me, to Tyneside Mailing Centre and onwards to the next MC towards Harrow, whichever MC and DO that would be.
I don't need any more people saying without the POP I have nothing because I've heard it too many times. I'm just incredibly annoyed that it has 'gone missing'. My local PO insists that RM have taken it so either it is stuck somewhere between Durham Delivery Office and it's intended destination in Harrow or it was stolen at my local shop or falsely reported as undelivered by the buyer. I don't know if RM has any way of looking for it on their CCTV footage but if they do I don't know how to contact them about that just in case one of their workers stole it which, just to clear up any further confusion from before this edit, I was told this was a possibility by RM via email and over the phone.
I have CCTV footage from the PO at my local shop that shows exactly what it looks l like. But I'm still hoping it will turn up at some point. I can't take the case to the police until I know if someone has taken it at Royal Mail which I still don't believe has happened. If it was stolen at some point then someone has a brand new Xbox Series X console and controllers to look forward to. It is a very expensive item and it can't just go missing and I can't afford to go without it. It is somewhere and I need to know what will happen because I just want it back.

Re: Special Delivery still not scanned
So firstly, starting a new thread is not helpful. It means that I had to go back and find the old thread to find out what was said before. And a lot of the information is then repeated from one thread to the other, so it wastes time. For anyone else who wants to check it:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=108961&p=1036593#p1036593
You said on the other thread that you used address labels instead of writing the address directly on the parcel, which means that it is quite possible that the labels have fallen off. It happened all the time when I worked in the PO, and the same for RM's own barcode labels. What the NRC need in that circumstance is a lost parcel form (P58inland, or online equivalent). I can't see from the other thread that you have submitted one?
In general, if you want help, I suggest that you stop accusing postal workers of stealing. This is a forum for postal workers (and some ex-postal workers, like me). Throwing around accusations of theft against the people that you are asking for help is a good way to make people disinclined to help.

I understand how you may feel with what I have said but I never accused anyone. All I simply stated was that it may have happened. The only reason I stated this is because I was told by RM that theft may have been involved either within company or possibly during the time I left it at the shop and it was due to be collected.
So please do not assume that I am accusing anyone because I have only put down what I have been told through numerous emails from RM and the PO and I can assure you that I personally have never had a problem with theft with RM so it seems too far fetched for me but I put that down due to what I have been told. I apologize for wasting your time as you have also stated as I wasn't sure if anyone would find it since I am new to the site and I still don't really know how everything works.
With regards the form for the request to look into opening a case to the form you have mentioned, I have not been able to figure out how to get it. I asked RM and they didn't help. I have heard that labels can get damaged at basically any stage so I was hoping there was a way to find it if the parcel is indeed now without a label or with a badly damaged label. Again as for theft in my opinion, I doubt it has happened and I'm more inclined to believe that if it has, then RM are not to blame.
I did not write it on the parcel because it was placed in grey plastic mailing bags due to it being electronics and I didn't want it to get wet. If I had a market for that to work then I would have used it.
I apologize again for wasting your time, stating what RM told me with regards to a possible theft within the company or during the parcel being collected, and for hurting you in any way.
I will also edit my original post to prevent any further confusion.

You could use the RM claims centre:
https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app ... ims-centre
Or you could ask your Post Office or Royal Mail Delivery Office for a paper P58inland form.

I'll try to get a paper form at one of those. Thank you for your help and I apologise again for any confusion earlier with regards to the possibility of theft.Snaggletooth wrote: ↑09 Mar 2023, 07:33You could use the RM claims centre:
