As I have mentioned on the forum previously I partake in Postcrossing, sending and receiving Postcards across the world.
I live in Greater Manchester and this week received a Postcard from France. As well as the cancel from La Poste there is a Royal Mail cancel from the Birmingham Mail Centre.
For nothing else but curiosity's sake, would this be a mis-sort or is there another operational reason why it could have gone to Birmingham? I am wondering if it is linked to the recent Cyber Incident, although according to RM's communications the impact on inbound foreign mail is negligeable.
Thanks as ever to the forum for any insight!

Re: Postcard from France, strange RM cancel
I've also received some international items with random Royal Mail cancellation marks.
I assumed those mail centreshave processed some international mail for delivery within the UK due to the cyber attack.
