Sending to PO Box from US/Canada

Post by Mr Rusty »

Hi there,

I'm just looking for a bit of advice re. sending packages (usually UK large letter size or thereabouts) from abroad to a UK PO Box address. I get stuff sent over on a regular basis with no trouble, but every so often packages get picked up by Parcelforce rather than Royal Mail when they arrive in the UK. As Parcelforce don't deliver to PO Box addresses this is a bit of a pain for everyone involved (including the local Parcelforce depot who are always very good about forwarding the items to my home address once I realise what has happened).

I just wondered if anyone here could give me a definitive answer over which services the overseas senders should use/avoid to stop this happening again (it's usually items arriving from the US or Canada) - it's not a weight thing, possibly 'priority service' or signed for, but I'm not sure if it's possible to send things that aren't marked priority/express but are still tracked. Any help or advice much appreciated.

Carl
