Stuck parcel

Post by Rachel737 »

I have a parcel stating since 11/12/2022 on the way to RDC. I live in Norwich. The RDC is Northampton. Any idea of where it's likely to be. I ordered it from China. It's sister parcel is in Belgium. This parcel ref starts WB :wave and ends GB

We are not an official site, so we couldn't tell you when it will arrive, even if you sent us the tracking details.

If this item has a tracking number that ends with GB then it is being posted in the UK. If it had been posted in PR China then the number would end CN. Many Chinese websites send over goods in large batches or containers, the contents are then broken down into individual parcels and posted over here. One of the sites that does this is RDC Northampton. So really you need to ask the seller when they will be posting it.

One way to check on the above is to put the tracking number into Royal Mail's tracking system. If the only tracking point on there is "sender preparing item" then it indicates that the seller has raised a sales order with RM but haven't actually posted it (although it could also be because RM don't seem to have been tracking everything recently).

Hi
My order is a international tracked and sighed parcel (it contains only papers) and it says that it has been received at Langley HWDC on 10th January. Its is almost a month now. Please can someone assist me or direct me to someone that works there? What's the usual delivery time and whom to speak to deliver it quickly please. Also I understand the cyber incident and the chaos that it created. Any help or advice would be much appreciated and apologies if this is the wrong post.

That's a tracked signed service which has been hit hard by the cyber attack which really started to affect International mail on 11 Jan viewtopic.php?f=6&t=103403&start=90

The service is still affected and items are being dispatched but may not be receiving all their scans
Service update: 11th of January 2023
Royal Mail is experiencing severe service disruption to our international export services following a cyber incident.

We are temporarily unable to despatch items to overseas destinations.

I think there is a very good chance. Just going by posts on here it looks like they are tackling the backlog now and everything is starting to move. Though not everything is getting all the scans they should in normal times. I think their focus is on getting it out to the destination countries rather than scanning.
