Stuck at Heathrow International LC

Post by KevinR »

Hi All,

I have a parcel that seems to be stuck at Heathrow International LC and has been there for the last 4 days. Tracking showings it’s been through LANGLEY HWDC at the same time as Heathrow.

Is there issues with distribution at the moment? Should I contact the sender?

I did use the parcel app tracker thing which raised even more questions and looks like the parcel has went on a trip around Europe.

Tracking number is LF048705843FR

What’s the likelihood of this arriving before Christmas?

That item has not been scanned by Royal Mail so it looks like it is still going through customs checks. https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/LF048705843FR

I think the chances of arriving before Christmas are very slim.

Thanks for your reply.

So it’s likely at customs? Even though royal mail tracking shows it being at Langley and then onto Heathrow at the same date/time?

Royal Mails tracking system captures data from other tracking systems but it doesn't show which firm actually did the scan. The link above https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/LF048705843FR however does and so far it's all ASENDIA SPAIN and La Poste, which makes me think its in Customs.

It seems strange that it originated in the Netherlands, and is in France presumably en-route to the UK, if it had originated in the Netherlands I would have expected the tracking number to end most likely as NL and not FR

Yeah strange. I’m too blame a bit as I never realised it was coming from overseas  if I would have known I would have found a similar item in the uk!

I have a UK to UK item stuck at Heathrow International LC. Been there since the 7th. My item should have gone from Birmingham MC to Chelmsford MC but was sent to Heathrow for some reason.
It's not moving at all. Not to be pessimistic but I see it as a black hole where you know when stuff goes in but it won't come out 🤪😭
Your item will not come before Christmas since today and tomorrow they're on strike.
Hopefully something gets unstuck after Christmas!

Hi,

I have a parcel that’s been at Langley since 4th December.
Is it likely that it’s just delayed because of strikes or possible lost?
Tracking no. RR380865103TR

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I’ve had one there since 23rd Nov (LA344353631NL - was only posted from Netherlands the day before)! I think consensus is that a combination of strike impact and customs checks have delayed a lot of mail there and I’m sure it’ll arrive eventually.

Most likely delayed in Customs looking at tracking https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/RR380865103TR, rather than lost
