Hi
I’m new to the forum so apologies if I’ve done anything wrong or posted in the wrong section. I would really appreciate any advice you could give me regarding a special delivery I sent on the 22nd of November to Lancashire. The package tracking says it arrived at Heathrow international LC on the 23rd of November and says the parcel will now be delivered to your local delivery office. The next tracking so from the 29th of November with exactly the same message ( item arrived at Heathrow international lc).
I’ve spoken to customer services and they say because of the date I should make a claim but I’m not worried that the parcel has arrived on time just that it does eventually get there or back to me as I can’t replace the contents.
Any advice anyone can give me I would really appreciate it as I’m quite worried. I realise with the industrial action it could be delayed and the sorting rooms must be incredibly busy at the moment.

Items going to Heathrow I'm sure, are just going overseas and there is no special delivery service to any overseas destination so this doesn't make sense. Where was your item posted from and you say it was going to Lancashire?

I found out that Heathrow International Lc also take domestic parcels so your parcel is probably stuck in the backlog becaus of the industrial action. Some depots are struggling a lot more than others and it looks like Heathrow Lc is in a bad way looking at this thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/royalmail/comm ... _uk_to_uk/ Did you put a return address on your item? I would guess your item is safe but could take some time to arrive unfortunately.
