Usually customs reasons. The only help you can get is "wait", they will get to it when they get to it.

My parcel has been stuck at Langley since the 21st. Based on your wait so far I guess I can expect to wait a lot longer! I don't mind paying customs charges but they should really resource the service according to need. This country feels like it's on its knees since Brexit.

Customs is a government department and that's where the delays usually are. I fully agree it should be staffed better, but I am afraid that the new PM is looking for savings in all government departments so it's an issue that won't be sorted soon.LLKJ wrote: ↑28 Oct 2022, 05:49My parcel has been stuck at Langley since the 21st. Re: item stuck in Langley (hwdc)
Sadly, you're right. But in my opinion the government is far too interested in realising cashable savings as opposed to making genuine efficiencies to get value for money over time. You'd think it would be in their interest to staff a function whose purpose is to literally generate revenue. I wonder how much of an impact delays at customs have on the appetite for imports/exports?
Anyway, very off topic there. Back to waiting patiently.
