Special delivery signed for at Mount Pleasant DO?

Post by abelix »

I sent some documents yesterday by special delivery guaranteed 1pm to a business address in central london. The tracking info says "Delivered and signed Mount Pleasant DO" and the signature reads DWS. Is this normal or something I should worry about? If it has been signed for by royal mail staff then how do I know the receiver actually got it? The company I am sending the documents to is called VFS Global if that is of any relevance, it is documents as part of a visa application so I need to make sure they actually arrive safely and on time. Contacting VFS to see if they received it isn't really an option as they are extremely difficult to get a hold of. thanks for any help.

If the delivery address is a PO Box then I believe Royal Mail staff will sign for it. It will then be handed over to the recipient when they turn up to collect their mail.

having just googled them VFS is a very big worldwide business so it is likely they get a lot of mail. For large volume businesses, it is possible for large DOs or Mail centres to process their mail in this way.
