Are delays just becoming the norm now?

Post by fulforever98 »

Have sent two tracked/signed for parcels in the last 2 weeks with RM both of which have not been delivered on time

> 1st class signed for sent on 1st Apr which has just been lost according to RM, only just managed to submit a claim
> Tracked24 parcel sent on 13th Apr, tracking confirmed it would be delivered 14th Apr between 9:53 and 1:23 but turns out the parcel has not even been sent to the local sorting office from Greenford MC, so now it'll be coming like Tuesday/Wednesday next week! They're refusing to even compensate for the delay saying I have to wait till the 25th for it

I have a question with regards to the second parcel, is it at all possible to go and just pick this up from Greenford MC or would this not be allowed? I can see its open till 4pm today

Not sure what's going on with Royal Mail but so disappointing..

Can't comment officially but check out the Blue Shirts thread for a picture of what it's like on the ground. Officially there are no long terms delays at the moment but we do post updates in this section.

As to going to the MC, no that's not possible, it is a secure location that will have no customer access or contact points unless it has a delivery office attached to it. But even then, they are usually 2 separate facilities and as the MC is secure the DO staff may not be able to enter the MC.

Delays are random and employee moral is low, but most things will get through on time. It is surprising to see a Tracked be delayed as they are priority, Recorded is just not worth using sadly.
