Thank you for reading about my situation!
I am trying to set up a P O Box as I live in shared accommodation, and it would be better if the post was slightly more private in the situation I am in.
I am using the online form as this seems to be the recommended way to set up a P O Box.
I am able to fill out all of the early boxes on the online form, until I get to the payment section. I select the three months, then direct debits option as I do not know how long I will be at the residence. I enter all of the credit card information, this all goes through, then there is a request for a confirmation code to my mobile which I send through.
After entering the code on the mobile, the online form always responds with a blank page and the error code '_ACS_CHALLENGE_' and I cannot get any further with the online form. I have tried the online form probably twelve times in total, with two separate credit cards over three days, and had no luck whatsoever.
I rang the complaints number on the Royal Mail website and was advised to empty the temporary internet cache on my computer, and close and reopen the browser, this did not work unfortunately.
I am writing as I am at a loss for how to resolve this issue. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a lot online about what the error code '_ACS_CHALLENGE_' actually refers to. This makes the situation hard to resolve myself as you can probably imagine!
If anyone else has come up with this error code '_ACS_CHALLENGE_' and found a way round it, I would be very grateful if you could pass it on, as I have no clue! Or if there is a admin for the P O Box online form here who knows the exact cause of this problem and how to fix it!

There is this page, though based in the USA - it seems to indicate and issue with the site of the card issuer rather than Royal Mail. Might be worth contacting them.
