Hi Folks, I'm trying to understand what's happened with my parcel (LT999371392NL)

I had the "Your parcel has successfully cleared customs and is now entering the Royal Mail network for delivery." message and the tracking states that "Your item has left our International Logistics Centre and is on its way to you. More information will be available as it travels through the network."

However I've seen some other replies that suggest that this could have been selected by customs as its come from an EU country and is over £100 in value. Its been 10 days with no update to tracking so I contacted customer services who said after 10 days its considered lost and I should get the seller to claim. Is it possible that this could have been held up or is it most likely lost and I should initiate a pay pal claim after the 13th?

From what you have posted I would say its only delayed, looking at the tracking myself at https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/LT999371392NL I think it's been scanned incorrectly on entry into customs rather than on leaving as it seems to have passed through HWDC rather quickly for something post Brexit.

Out of interest, what is the "standard/average" time for a parcel to pass through customs post Brexit?

I'm not sure if that means the sender has resent the item or its been released from customs

That normally only happens when an importer sends stuff by bulk to a UK warehouse, and then it's split and put into the Postal Network. I think that's possible as your item appears to have been bouncing between UK and the Netherlands, or it's possible the sender resent the code to see if they could get it sent on to you.

Thanks for your advice so far. Its just a single parcel so I'm really not sure what's happening with it.

I see this was delivered on 1/11/2021 - good news! Royal Mail do usually come good with parcels even when they are delayed! :)
