it says "Your item is due to leave Birmingham MC to go to Heathrow Worldwide DC. More information will be available as it travels through our network." since 22nd September. i had a similar case back in august and that got missing. now I won't be using Royal Mail international tracked & Signed ever again. :sad:

What country is it going to and what's the contents (sometimes the contents can cause problems with customs)?

In the prohibited list at the link is
Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof;
This doesn't mean your item is prohibited, but it does mean they will probably check the paperwork and whether its okay to send/receive in Ireland.

Just that investigation may have caused a delay.

there is no CMOS battery. it's a small motherboard.

Even though the CMOS/BIOS battery has been removed, they might still be taking a closer look on the assumption that the battery is there
