Hi I wonder if anyone can help?
I receive pip for my disability and that entitles me to half price car tax.
I went to the post office and paid for a postal order and my supporting documents to be sent to the dvla, about a month later I received my documents back from the dvla and they said there was no payment included with my documents.
I have lost the postal order receipt but have my bank statement with the time and date when the post office took the money from my bank .
Have I got any chance of getting my money back ?
I can't afford to pay it again so I can't use my car .
Sorry it's a long question
Regards Den

Re: Postal order
You need to talk to Post Office customer services (not Royal Mail, or the PO branch). They are the ones who can access the records. If you look on their website there are various ways to contact them.
I am not sure that this is enough to go on for them. Even if it is, the best result would be if they can prove that it was cashed by the DVLA. A postal order can’t be cancelled, therefore can’t be refunded unless returned to the Post Office.
