Large letter England to Dublin update!

Post by coolbongo4444 »

*** just an update, it looks like my original documents sent to the Dublin passport office arrived because the tracking has changed to say all documents received. Still nothing at all on Royal Mail tracking or AN Post??!! But at least it got there. Phew! ***

Hi. I sent an important large letter tracked to Dublin on the 5th May, it left Heathrow on 6th May & then 'handed to delivery partner'. Nothing from AN Post on tracking. At what point do I need to worry? Can I assume it's stuck in customs even though it's just a letter? Thanks for any advice.

That was a long delay, but I'm pleased they made it! :)

Things normally do (unless they are sent via parcel force, who have lost three out of five sent to me this year).

Thanks. I really didn't know how best to send the original documents, and with the passport office being a PO Box they couldn't be signed for. I may have been able to send by UPS or DHL courier? But I didn't know what to do and just opted for Royal Mail. All good in the end! It's the first time in a long time I've ever had an issue.
