Proof of postage for DWP freepost letter
Hi. I have to re-send documents to the Dept for Work & Pensions as they don't seem to have received the first ones. The freepost address is a processing centre with no postcode. Will I still be able to get a proof of postage without a postcode? Thanks.

Yes, but some post office staff don’t know how to do it!

I have been refused proof of postage for one line address ... FREEPOST BMC RETURNS. How do they treat it as international post and will it work in this instance as thier attitude is "computer says no" because no proper address or post code.

You could have taken photos of it with the documents and film yourself posting it.
Posting it recorded delivery would have been better.
DWP are not known for their efficiency.
