How could my special delivery item be lost?

I would contact Royal Mail direct. Try Twitter.
We might be able to advise or give insight but without a tracking number, or the full and up to date tracking output it's a little difficult to do so as we don't have the full picture.
Certainly, you should be able to make a claim for late delivery.

Thanks.Royal mail customer service told me it is likely lost. Delay is not an issue but it is likely lost.
I wonder if the item is actually still at the Croydon mail center?

It was apparently an aisian name!
I don't believe it was a hate crime as it would be a stupid action. If my personal info is exposed due to this, it is a crime. I will trace info leaks.
I respect royal mail staff who have been working for the country during this difficult time.
To me I just need to apply again, but royal mail actually has to make significant compensation and there will be unnecessary operations cost and the reliability of special delivery is under question.
