Hi,
I ordered an item to be shipped to Grenada (in the West Indies) from India. It was shipped via EMS and for some reason it ended up in the UK. Is this the route packages normally take to get to Grenada? Unfortunately, the package has been sitting at HWDC for more than 2 weeks now...
016-09-01 16:03 United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Irela, LANGLEY HWDC, Receive item at office of exchange (Inb), Air
2016-08-31 14:11 India, MUMBAI AIR, Insert item into bag (Otb), Air
2016-08-31 14:08 India, MUMBAI AIR, Receive item at office of exchange (Otb), Air
If this is normal - do packages go through UK customs if they are not being delivered to the UK? Could this be a shipping error?
Thank you for your help!!
John

Shipments from India to Grenada go through HWDC?
Hard to say for sure, but I'm 90% certain that the Indian postal service put it on the wrong plane. Every postal service makes this mistake from time to time, it's just human error.
Unfortunately there are big delays at UK customs and it will have to get past those before it gets to somebody who can redirect it to the Carribean.
You might want to consider making a claim for late delivery from the seller, depending on your local laws and the contract you made with the seller.
