I went into the Post Office today, to send an envelope to Italy with guaranteed 1 day delivery with Parcel Force.
The PO worker said that the Parcel Force man was in the back of the PO, collecting today's parcels. They asked him to wait for my item. I asked if it would definitely go today, and I was told yes.
I left the PO, and a couple of minutes later the PF van came from the side gate.
I checked the tracking and it said "Collected", so all was looking good.
But 12 minutes later the new status was "Collection attempted - parcel not available".
It has not updated in the last 5 hours.
If it isn't delivered in Italy tomorrow then I will need to get the item returned to me, probably at my cost, in addition to the £47 I paid today. All for goods that cost only £9.
Can anyone shed any light into what might have happened? Is there any chance of it still be delivered tomorrow?
